what we handle

Residential and light commercial electrical across Salt Lake City. If it has a wire in it, there is a good chance we work on it. Here is the bulk of what people call us for.

Panel & service upgrades

Old panel, full panel, or a fuse box that should have been replaced years ago. We size it right, swap it cleanly, and get it inspected so it is on record.

EV charger installs

A Level 2 home charger wired to a dedicated circuit, with the panel checked first to be sure it can carry the load. Done right so your car charges overnight without tripping anything.

Rewires & new circuits

Whole-home rewires for older houses, plus single circuits for a remodel, a hot tub, a workshop, or a kitchen that keeps tripping. We open as little wall as the job allows.

Lighting & fixtures

Recessed lights, ceiling fans, under-cabinet, landscape, and that fixture that has been in a box in the garage. Installed level, switched correctly, and dimmed if you want it.

Outlets, switches & GFCI

Dead outlets, loose switches, USB and GFCI upgrades, and outdoor outlets that hold up to Utah weather. The small stuff most shops do not want to bother with.

Troubleshooting & repair

Breakers that trip, half a room with no power, flickering lights, a warm outlet. We trace it back to the real cause instead of guessing, and tell you what it will take to fix.

how it works

Hiring an electrician should not be a mystery. Here is exactly what happens from the first text to the last wire.

1

Tell us what is going on

Call or text and describe the problem or the project. We ask a few questions and, for installs, give you a free estimate up front.

2

We show up and do the work

We arrive in the window we gave you, walk you through what we found, and do the work clean. Permit and inspection handled when the job needs one.

3

You see it working before we leave

We test it with you, answer your questions, and clean up. No surprise charges. The price we agreed on is the price on the invoice.

safe work you do not have to think about again

A lot of electrical problems are really one shortcut someone took years ago. We do not take shortcuts. We do it to code, we pull the permit, and we get it inspected so it is verified, not just our word for it.

  • Licensed and insured, working under Utah code
  • Permits pulled and inspections scheduled for you
  • Honest about what needs fixing and what does not
  • Floors protected and the work area left clean

"Called about a breaker that kept tripping. They found the real cause instead of just swapping parts. Honest and easy to deal with."
"Had them install an EV charger in the garage. Tidy install, tested it with me before they left, and walked me through how it works."

where we work

Based in Salt Lake City and serving the valley. If you are nearby and not listed, call and we will tell you straight.

good questionsThe things people ask before they hire an electrician. If yours is not here, just call or text and ask.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ramirez Brothers is a licensed and insured electrical contractor working under Utah code. We pull permits when a job calls for one and we schedule the inspection so the work is on record and done right.
What areas do you serve?
Salt Lake City and across the valley: Murray, West Valley City, Sandy, Holladay, Millcreek, South Jordan, Draper, Cottonwood Heights, and West Jordan. If you are near the Wasatch Front, call and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.
Do you charge for an estimate?
For installs and project work like a panel upgrade, an EV charger, or a rewire, the estimate is free. For a service or repair visit we will tell you the diagnostic fee up front when you call, before anyone heads out, so there is no surprise on the invoice.
Can you install an EV charger at my house?
Yes. We install Level 2 home chargers, run the dedicated circuit from your panel, and make sure the panel can carry the load. If it cannot, we will tell you what the panel needs instead of forcing it.
My breaker keeps tripping. Is that an emergency?
A breaker that trips now and then is the panel doing its job. A breaker that trips constantly, warm outlets, a burning smell, or flickering across the whole house are signs to stop and call. Tell us what you are seeing and we will help you decide whether it waits or needs us today.
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
Common signs are a panel that is full with no room to add a circuit, fuses instead of breakers, a panel from a brand with a known recall, or breakers that trip when you run normal appliances. We will look at it, tell you whether it truly needs replacing, and not upsell you on one you do not need.
Do you do small jobs, or only big projects?
Both. A single dead outlet, a ceiling fan, a couple of new switches, or a whole panel and rewire. No job is too small, and we would rather earn the small one than miss meeting you.
Will you pull permits and handle inspection?
Yes, when the work requires it. Panel changes, new circuits, and rewires get a permit and an inspection. That protects you at resale and means the work is verified by the city, not just our word for it.
Do you clean up after the work?
Always. We protect your floors, keep the area tidy as we go, and haul off the old material when we leave. You should not be able to tell we were there except that the work is fixed.
How fast can you come out?
For most service calls we can usually get to you within a day or two, and sooner when something is unsafe. Call or text (385) 330-4243 and we will give you a real window, not a vague all-day one.
