A tree is heavy, close to the house, and not coming down on its own. That's the call we take.

Most tree jobs in Sevier County come down to one of a few things. A big old tree that's gotten too close to the roof or the power line. Limbs that hang over the driveway and drop in every wind. A trunk that split in a storm. Or a stump left behind that you've been mowing around for years.

We handle all of it, and we do it the careful way. Trees near a home come down in sections with ropes, not dropped in one piece and hoped for the best. When we're finished, the wood and brush are hauled off and the ground is raked. You shouldn't have to clean up after the people you hired.

The work, page i

Everything that lives in the yard.

From a single overgrown limb to a whole lot that needs clearing, here's what we take on, and how we go about it.

Tree work looks simple from the ground and almost never is. The difference between a clean removal and an expensive mistake is rigging, reading the lean of the tree, and knowing what's underneath before the first cut. That's the part you're really paying for, and it's the part we don't rush.

"They took down a huge tree right next to my house and you'd never know a crew had been there. Cleaner than they found it."

We'd rather spend an extra hour setting ropes than save twenty minutes and put a limb through a fence. Whatever the job, you get a straight quote up front and a crew that treats your property like it's their own.

  • i.

    Tree removal

Whole-tree removal, big or small. Trees near a house, fence, shed, or power line come down piece by piece with ropes and rigging so nothing below gets touched.

  • ii.

    Trimming & pruning

Shaping, thinning, and clearing limbs off the roof and away from wires. Healthier trees, more light in the yard, and nothing waiting to fall in the next windstorm.

  • iii.

    Stump grinding

That stump you've mowed around for years, ground down below grade and the chips cleaned up, so you can finally reclaim the spot for grass or a garden bed.

  • iv.

    Storm & emergency cleanup

A tree on the roof, across the driveway, or down in the road moves to the front of the line. We get out fast, clear it safely, and haul it off.

  • v.

    Lot & brush clearing

Overgrown lots, fence lines, and dead or hazardous trees cleared out, whether you're building, selling, or just tired of looking at it.

Who we are

A local crew that lives where it works.

Top-Notch Tree Service is a Richfield outfit. We're not a call center that subs the job to whoever's nearest, and we're not driving in from the city. We live in Sevier County and we work in it, which is the whole reason the reviews read the way they do.

Owner-run means the person quoting your tree is the person on the rope, and the one who answers when you call back. We carry insurance for tree work and we're glad to show it before we start. Big tree or small, you get the same care.

Before you call.

The things folks ask us most. Don't see yours? Call or text and we'll give you a straight answer.

Do you give free quotes?
Yes. Quotes are free. Call or text us, send a photo of the tree if you can, and most of the time we can give you a number that day or set a time to come look in person.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Richfield and work all over Sevier County, including Salina, Monroe, Elsinore, Glenwood, and Central Valley. If you're nearby and not sure, just ask.
Do you clean up after the job?
Always. We haul off the wood and brush and rake the area before we leave. The goal is that the only thing you notice is the tree is gone.
Can you take out a tree close to my house?
Yes. Trees close to a house, a fence, or power lines get taken down in sections with ropes and rigging instead of felled in one piece, so nothing below gets hit.
Do you grind the stump too?
We can. Stump grinding is its own service, so let us know when you book and we'll grind it down below grade and clean up the chips.
What about storm damage and emergencies?
Call us. When a tree comes down on a roof, a driveway, or a road, we move it up the schedule and get out there as fast as we can to clear it.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry liability insurance, and we're glad to show proof before any work starts. Tree work near a home is no place to cut corners on coverage.
When is the best time to trim trees in Utah?
Late winter into early spring is ideal for most trees here, before they leaf out. That said, broken or hazardous limbs should come off whenever you spot them, any time of year.
How much does tree removal cost?
It depends on the size of the tree, how close it is to the house or wires, and whether you want the stump ground out. That's why the quote is free and in person when it needs to be, so you get a real number, not a guess.
How soon can you come out?
Most non-emergency jobs get scheduled within a week or so depending on the season. Storm and hazard work jumps the line. Call or text and we'll give you a straight answer on timing.
